A New Fall Tradition

Calling all HBIA members - It's time to "Sow It, Grow It, Show It"!

We’re super excited to kick off our very first Fall Storefront Competition in the HBIA and we’re calling on all of our members to be part of it! This year, we’re teaming up with the Port Hope Chamber and embracing the Port Hope Fair’s theme, “Sow It, Grow It, Show It,” to bring some fall flair to our storefronts and to feel some synergy in the community and across Port Hope!

Here’s the Deal:
Decorate Your Business: Go all out with fall decorations—think hay bales, corn stalks, scarecrows, flowers, you name it! Just keep it plant-based and seasonal.

Submit Your Entry:
Snap & Tag: Take a photo of your decorated business and tag @porthopeHBIA and/or @porthopechamber on Instagram.

Deadline: Make sure everything’s in place and tagged by August 29.

Double the Fun: We’ll automatically enter your submission into the Port Hope Fair’s Display Competition too—so you’ve got two chances to win with just one entry! Any entries for the Port Hope Fair require their name and fair dates (Sept 12-15) to be included in the display. We can supply an 8x10 poster with these details to anyone who is interested in including.

What’s up for grabs for HBIA Members:
Best Judged Submission: $100
People’s Choice Submission: $100
Fall Storefront Award: A physical award to proudly display in your business until the next Fall competition!
Bragging Rights

Plus: Every entry in the contest gets a FREE set of two weekend passes courtesy of the Port Hope Fall Fair!
